Members of Martinez Couch & Associates Participate in Groundbreaking Ceremony
Woodbridge, CT April 2013 - Rafael Martinez and Rima Laukaitis of Martinez Couch & Associates participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Woodbridge Public Works Facility. MCA completed engineering services for the project which includes new bays, an expansion of the existing building and LED lighting. The ceremony celebrated the groundbreaking of a project that had been more than 20 years in the making. Speakers at the ceremony included Senator Joseph Crisco, State Representative Themis Klarides, and DPW Committee Chair Chris Sorensen.

Rocky Hill, CT 2012 – MCA is pleased to announce new additions to our team. We have welcomed four new hires over the past year. Julie Viera, P.E., Peter Miller, P.E., and Matt Pepin have joined our engineering staff and Stacy Deming is our new GIS manager.
Martinez Couch & Associates, LLC settles in to new office in Rocky Hill.
Rocky Hill, CT 2011 – Earlier this year, Martinez Couch & Associates, LLC (MCA) moved its headquarters from its previous location in Wallingford to Rocky Hill, CT. After seven years in Wallingford, the company now enjoys a centralized location within the state. The new office, located at 1084 Cromwell Avenue, can accommodate MCA's increasing growth and is easily accessible to MCA clients.
Rafael Martinez, MCA Member, is happy with the way the team worked together to make the move go smoothly. "Everyone is now settled in and loving their new space," he said.
Business Development Manager Ariel Martinez is excited about the strategic move to Hartford County and expects to make use of the company's new extended reach in Connecticut.
Wallingford, CT July 2010 – Martinez Couch & Associates, LLC (MCA) became re-certified as a Minority Business Enterprise by the City of Hartford’s Office of Human Relations on July 12, 2010. It is a two year certification good through July 31, 2012. The list of certified services includes, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering and Environmental Consulting.
Martinez Couch & Associates, LLC (MCA) Attends SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services) Build Business Conference in Boston.
Boston, MA July 2010 – Business Development Manager, Ariel Martinez, attended Build Business as a first time member of SMPS. The conference took place at the Marriott Copley Place in the Back Bay section of Boston. Strictly focused on the Marketing and Business Development of the A/E/C industry, the conference featured keynote speakers, informational breakout sessions focused on relevant marketing and business development topics, networking pavilions and an awards gala.
When asked about his experience, Ariel Martinez said, “It was a great experience all the way around. Just the networking aspect of the conference was worthwhile. I was able to meet a lot of people from all over the country that do what I do and are facing similar obstacles and challenges. The ability to interact with and exchange information with these professionals was useful, relevant and inspiring.”
The overall theme of the conference was, Build Business, “Reinvent, Retool, Rebound.” Many of the discussions were focused on overcoming the effect that the economy has had on the A/E/C industry over the last 18 months. “I learned a lot about what is working and what’s not working in our industry from a marketing perspective,” said Martinez. “I plan on taking the information back, sharing it with my team, tweaking our current strategies and implementing new ones, so that we can become more effective in our mission.”
Next year’s conference will be held in Chicago. When asked if he is planning on attending, Martinez said, “Absolutely. The conference really left a positive impression on me. I hope to continue to grow within the SMPS organization as I feel it has a lot to offer someone in my position.”
Wallingford, CT November 2009 – Martinez Couch & Associates, LLC (MCA) was officially certified by SOMWBA – The Massachusetts State office of Minority and Women Business Assistance in November of 2009. “This will give our clients and teaming partners who are pursuing local and state government work in Massachusetts the opportunity to team up with MCA, a trusted partner that can show a history of collaboration with them,” said Rafael Martinez – MCA Member. “We are looking forward to establishing a presence in Massachusetts and this is a great way for us to get our foot in the door.”
